088: The Brand ED Bullet, Issue 27
Robby: You're listening to the Brand
ED Bullet from the Brand ED Podcast.
Four freaky fast Friday wins to
get you going for your weekend.
Let's go.
Win number one, something to try.
You copy and paste all day long on your
computer, but what happens when you
want to go back and paste the last, last
thing, you know, the thing you copied
before, the last thing that you copied.
It gets maddening.
Well Maccy to the rescue.
That's M a C C Y.
It's a clipboard manager for
Mac O S, which does one job.
And one job only.
And that is to keep your
copy history at hand.
Period.
Here are a few tricks that I
use and appreciate about Maccy.
I will copy three or
four things at a time.
And then go paste each one without
having to switch back and forth between
the original and where on copying into.
A lot of times I'll also paste with
formatting or even better without
formatting that will strip the text
of any formatting, like bold or
italicize, which comes in very handy.
And the third thing I'll often do
is search my clipboard history.
Now this is genius.
If you copied a password four or five
copies ago, you can just search your
clipboard history, give it a try.
It will change your life.
You can check out Maccy’s handy
features with the link I'll put in
the show notes and then email me
back and let me know which feature.
You're most excited about.
Win number two, something
a client recently asked.
A long time coaching client came to me
and asked for advice on choosing the
next website builder for her business.
She has tried a several different
website builder options,
and she's gotten stuck time.
And again, which means her
business has gotten stuck.
Knowing her?
Well, I asked her one question
and that question brought
a puzzled look on her face.
I said with so many website
builder options available
to you on the market now.
All of which are promising.
Quote, we may creating your website
a super easy, no code necessary.
Why is it then that you are
still having such a hard time?
Designing your website
to grow your business.
The real challenge is.
Maybe the website and the website builder.
Isn't the problem, but a symptom.
So what's the real problem.
If it's not the website
or the website builder.
This is what we'll discover
on the next brand ed bullet.
What's your biggest pain when
it comes to your own website?
Holler back and feel free to vent away.
I'll put a link to my
email in the show notes.
Win number three,
something to think about.
I've got a great question for
you that I often ask my clients.
If I could magically give you 10 extra
hours this month, how would you use them?
I would love to know your thoughts on
what you do with those 10 extra hours.
You can DM me on Instagram
or shoot me an email.
The link to both is in the show notes.
Win number four, something personal.
I was recently visiting with a
friend about business and the Bible.
I was a full-time.
I quote, professional pastor
for 15 plus years after all.
And I've thought a ton about running
my own personal brand business.
Perhaps it's the trifecta of number
one, being a pastor for so many years.
Number two, turning 50 this year.
And number three, knowing how easy
it is to get pulled into someone
else's definition of quote success.
So I told my friend, I should take
all my thoughts and wanderings and
turn them into a free training for
anyone who might be interested.
My friend said, well, what
would you call the training?
And I said, I think I would call
it if Eden had a business district.
What's your best advice on not
letting your day-to-day business
slowly pull you off course into
someone else's definition of success.
I would love to know.
Oh and also if you're interested in
the topic it's eden had a business
district Then make sure you hit
